One of my goals for this year was to read more, especially in the genre that I write, which, as you know by now, is Adult Fantasy/Romance. Therefore, most of the books are romantasy or an adjacent category.
Since we have reached the midpoint of the year, I thought I would give you a glimpse of how my year in reading is going.

Book that was Nightmare Fuel: Anathema by Keri Lake
Longest Book: A Court of Wings & Ruin by Sarah J. Maas, 699 pages
Shortest Book: A Court of Frost & Starlight by Sarah J. Maas, 272 pages
Book I am putting off reading: The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah (because it’s long and I’m not really into WWII, but I am curious about what all the fuss is about.)
Most shocking DNF: Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson – I really struggled to connect with the characters.
A book I thought I’d hate but ended up loving: The Inheritance Games by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
My next book: The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss
I will do a full write-up of all the books I have read this year in my December end-of-year posts.
