This week’s blog is a continuation of last week’s theme: querying and pitching to agents.
On X there are often Pitch events. The goal is to get an agent like on your pitch. An agent like means they want you to submit your work to them.
Pitch events are visual representations of your story, where querying is all words. Every pitch event is slightly different. Today, I am sharing the visuals I’ve created for The Shattered Queen for different pitch events on X.
Lucky Pit – a general pitch event on St. Patrick’s Day. I used this mood board below.

1st Line Pit – include your first few lines of your book in the post and attach a mood board, agent guide or poster:
Saoirse shivered. Where are they taking me?
Their steps echoed down the dark corridor. The dank, mildewy odor and unused torches told her this passage wasn’t well-traveled. Far ahead, a lone window spilled a sliver of midday light into the darkness.

Poster Pit – Pitch your book in the form of a movie poster. I made two separate posters.

Of all my pitches, The movie posters are my favorite. Which one is yours? Hit me with some feedback.
